About Me
Coming from an artistic family, I have always held an appreciation for creativity and craftsmanship. I find so much beauty in the stories that can be held within the frames of furniture, carrying with them the memories of past generations.
Whilst I have always leaned into my artistic side, it was only through the completion of a three year restoration course that I began to see a clear career open up in front of me.
Alongside running my own restoration workshop, I also lecture part-time at the City of Glasgow College, teaching upholstery techniques.
When thinking of a business name, I wanted a connection that tied together my passion for my Scottish heritage along with my love for restoration. The word ‘càradh’ comes from Scottish Gaelic and translates as “the act of mending, fixing or repairing” - and thus Càradh Furniture was born.
